According to a report by the BBC cited by Huanqiu.com, US President Trump threatened on the 23rd local time that if some countries "play tricks" in the recently reached trade agreement, he will impose higher tariffs on them.

Trump posted several messages on social media saying that he might impose license fees on trading partners. Currently, the global economy is in turmoil and stock markets are falling due to the uncertainty of his next tariff measures. 

Trump wrote on Truth Social: "Any country that tries to 'play games' with this absurd Supreme Court ruling, especially those that have been 'taking advantage of the United States' for years, even decades, will face higher and even stiffer tariffs than they recently agreed to. They will be held accountable for the consequences!!! " 

Trump said that although the court ruled the tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) invalid, the ruling confirmed that he could impose tariffs under other legal authorizations in a way that was "more powerful, more deterrent and more legally certain than the tariff method previously used." 

He hinted that the United States might impose new license fees on its trading partners, but did not disclose any specific details. 

A spokesperson for the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative did not immediately respond to a request for further comment on Trump's plan.

On the same day, many countries in Europe and America expressed their views on the US Supreme Court's ruling regarding tariffs. The Canadian government's Canadian and US trade ministers, Dominique LeBlanc, believed that the decision of the US Supreme Court "solidified Canada's position" that these tariffs were "unfair". French Economy Minister Roland Riesz replied that the decision of the US Supreme Court indicated that tariffs "in any case are topics that need to be discussed". EU Commission spokesperson Olaf Gill said, "We have noticed this decision and we will conduct a careful analysis of it." 

Although the Supreme Court rejected Trump's most straightforward "emergency power" tariff approach, it did not end his tariff policy direction.
